Phonological awareness

Gaylene went to a PL course from Yolanda Soryl. Slideshow

What do we know? Phonological awareness
It is about being aware of the sounds in speech, being able to hear and discriminate sounds, being aware of the sound structures of sound.

It is quite prescribed and aimed at the year 4-7 age group. It develops childs' ability to hear, read and write.

Some things to think about and reflect on how to implement this into my classroom.
There will be more PL on this next year.
