TOD- Reading
Went over the HES Curriculum in reading. Great to see my programme is in line with the HES Curriculum. By allowing the children to read their book from yesterday (repeated reading), instructional reading, reading to, reading with and having a classroom dripping with print. For reading we can bommard them with too many strategies so our first thing should be to ask them to "try that again." We need to teach them the name and how to say what strategy they are using. Lynda has a list of reading strategy prompts. Totara has normal teacher instructional reading then a teacher aide is running a repeated reading programme.
