Tone of voice matters

We were given a reading about teacher voice. If you would like to read it, click the link below.
Tone of voice matters in surprising ways

From the reading I have thought about how my voice changes when I address the children in different situations. I have been considering how students respond to my voice and whether they hear me. When I may have raised my voice to get the children to respond, I am now thinking and responding with a calmer voice and distracting the children to get what I want them to do instead of 'growling' them.
